Our Vision:
We, the members of the Greenville County Public Safety Association, are committed to excellence in public safety, providing the linkage between the residents and visitors of Greenville County. We take pride in dedicating ourselves to professionalism and public service. We believe this can be accomplished with the dedicated men and women of all Law Enforcement and Public Safety Agencies in the Upstate of South Carolina. We believe our Labor Organization (G.C.P.S.A.) is an essential part in helping to promote this vision. Strength through united action guided by intelligence is the hallmark of trade union organizations. The vision of the Greenville County Public Safety Association is to vigilantly protect, promote, and improve the working conditions, legal rights, compensation, and benefits of all Law Enforcement and Public Safety Officers within The County of Greenville in the State of South Carolina. As a united organization our vision is to:
- Provide the residents and visitors of Greenville County a safe community;
- Promote the establishment of just and reasonable working conditions;
- Protect members from unfair labor practices;
- Help to secure just compensation for their services and equitable settlement of their grievances;
- Increase the member’s skill and efficiency;
- Promote harmony between its members and their employers;
- Support charitable organizations and events within our community and promote public relations;
- Foster improved health, retirement and death benefit programs;
- Encourage improved methods of law enforcement, labor relations and labor/management cooperation, and;
- Cultivate friendship and fellowship among its members.
A special thanks to the dedicated officers and employees of the Greenville County Detention Center, Greenville County Sheriff's Office, Greenville City Police, and the Greenville County Department of Public Safety for their support and help in making this a professional organization!
Who We Are......
The
G.C.P.S.A. was chartered on July 8, 2004 under the International Union of Police Associations (I.U.P.A.), which is affiliated with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).The G.C.P.S.A. was created to provide a united voice in dealing with issues that concern all Upstate Law Enforcement Personnel and Support Staff.
We are devoted to maintaining a safe, fair, and progressive work environment for all officers so that they may effectively protect and serve the residents of Greenville County.
Overall, we are dedicated to improving a better quality of life for all Upstate Law Enforcement Personnel, their families, and the community at large in which we serve.
